NBR (Buna-N nitrile rubber) is a polymer that is perfect for use in contact with oils and solvents. Nitrile has especially good oil and gasoline resistance, higher resistance to kerosene-based hydraulic oils, a wide operating temperature range, good resistance to hydrocarbon solvents and excellent resistance to alkalis and acids. This makes nitrile an ideal material for making seals for motors and other equipment.
