The operating temperature of silicone rubber (VMQ) is between -60 °C and + 220 °C, which makes it more durable than most elastomers. Silicone has excellent tensile strength, elongation, tear strength, elasticity and high temperature resistance. Silicone withstands many extreme weather conditions and is also an inherently mold-resistant material. Silicone is waterproof and resistant to many chemicals, including many acids, oxidizers and ammonia. Widely used in the food industry.
